WAY Online is an accredited, private, online school that serves grades 6-12 and grants students an accredited high school diploma.
We offer a personalized learning experience for high school students utilizing an innovative approach to education using current technology and project-based learning in alignment with nationally-recognized content standards. The WAY Online curriculum fosters self-esteem, independence, and 21st-century skills development.

In 2008, WAY (Widening Advancements for Youth) as founded to partner with schools to provide a project-based and competency-assessed learning experience for their US-based students.
In 2018, WAY Online was founded to offer a private, fully-online program to students unable to attend the network of in-person schools. Through a combination of live video conferences and an on-demand curriculum, WAY Online extends its mission to students everywhere in the world.
WAY Online teachers are certified teachers in their content area(s) and are located around in the United States.

We expect students to complete a full high school WAY Online program in about 3 years, graduating with a high school diploma.
We expect our students to demonstrate the U.S. national and state standards for each course. Each students situation is unique because they may transfer credits into the school.
You can get help from a U.S. certified teacher 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The core subject areas of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies teachers are online and accessible for a minimum of 6 hours per weekday. Electives and other lower-participation courses also have instructors available online in a reduced time frame based upon course need.
Students can arrange appointments at other times and teachers are able to accomodate those needs.
Students are required to provide their own computer and must have reliable high-speed Internet access.
WAY Online students graduate with an full High School Diploma, accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancEd). The Cognia accreditation is respected and recognized across the world’s higher education institutions.
Basic school supplies such as pens, paper, etc. are the responsibility of the student and parents.
All other instructional materials for a course will be provided to a student. Texts are typically provided online and science experiments have virtual lab options.
Yes, we accept credits of students who transfer from other schools. Previously learned courses will be accounted for.
